Intercontinental Shipping was established in the late 1990's as a clearing and forwarding company, moving cargo across all parts of the world. Our goal is to provide our Clients with quality, value and the convenience of door-to-door service using one trustworthy and accountable partner from beginning to end.

Over the past decade, the company has prospered and grown, establishing operational offices in Pretoria, Cape Town and Durban, while expanding our focus to include the clearing and forwarding of reefer cargo globally.

All customs clearing and forwarding is handled out of our Pretoria offices. Our shipping and logistics operations are close to the ports in Durban and Cape Town, facilitating a smooth and efficient flow of product through the logistical process.

We are a long-standing member of The South African Association of Freight Forwarders (Membership No. SN4223) and support their mission "To maintain the highest ethical and professional standards and to be mindful of the need to foster public trust and confidence in the forwarding and clearing industry."

OUR TEAM

The ICS team consists of key personnel originating from the freight industry who understand the technical aspects of forwarding and clearing, as well as the logistics side of the industry at large. This depth and breadth of experience gives us the ability to land product at the best price, avoiding demurrage and overstay charges and allowing us to give each and every Client the very best service.

Director, Philip Coetzer leads the team, overseeing all transactions and is hands-on in all aspects of the business. Philip is an admitted attorney with more than 25 years' experience in import and export contracts. Philip is assisted by Arinda Bothma who has vast experience in the freight industry, she is also responsible for client liaison. The operational office is staffed by employees with many years of experience at ICS.

Together, the ICS team expertly manages every detail throughout the supply chain, leveraging the strong relationships established within the industry to ensure seamless, cost-efficient and on-time transport and delivery.
